What is Yoga?
Yoga is an ancient discipline that emerged in India thousands of years ago ; yoga means union and is a physical and spiritual practice that helps promote physical and mental strength. Yoga is a set of physical postures linked with breath; the breath is extremely important in yoga – if you ever find yourself struggling to breathe during a yoga class you’ve gone too far.
Becka teaches Vinyasa- Flow Yoga - a dynamic, fluid form of yoga excellent for strengthening the body and the mind. She also teaches Gentle Yoga for those looking for a more meditative and grounding experience and she offers Dynamic Flow Yoga for those who want a more energetic class. Becka tailors her approach depending on what the student wants from a class.
Some may wish to use yoga as way to tone and strengthen the body, others may use yoga to find peace of mind and inner calm, and some may come to yoga to improve their physical and mental health. Yoga is for everyone and Becka works closely with her students to find a style that suits them.
